At STV we understand the importance of Health and Safety. We believe legislation and industry guidelines aren’t just boxes to be ticked; they’re about real working practices. As responsible and reputable partners, our priority is to ensure our employees and the public are kept safe from harm. Our aim is to create a zero incident environment and set industry best practices, which we achieve by maintaining proactive safety management, competent supervision and excellent communication on all sites. To this end, we have an in-house training programme that educates all staff on the high standards to which STV is committed - from operatives through to senior management.
STV holds the CSCS Platinum Certificate of Commitment to quality and accident reduction. This prestigious standard acknowledges that at least 90% of our operatives hold CSCS cards. We are CHAS accredited suppliers and our entire operational team is UKATA asbestos trained.
Our personnel are trained in all relevant regulations and recommended best-practices. We also employ a full-time health and safety manager who conducts regular on-site safety audits to ensure that all programmes comply with health and safety regulations.
Experience tells us that exceptional health and safety performance begins with exceptional communication. Our people know exactly what is expected from them, and what is acceptable to us as a company, rather than just what the regulations demand, and we are not prepared to accept anything less than impeccable performance.
Our clients also have the confidence of knowing that we work to transparent systems and processes. This means that any incident that could potentially have an impact on health and safety is logged and recorded electronically on our operations management system and made immediately available online to both managers and clients.

All STV employees are CRB checked, meaning that residents can be confident in the integrity of the trades-people who are entering their homes.
