We believe that operating a profitable business should not be in conflict with our environmental responsibilities and the health and safety of the wider community. STV holds BSI ISO 14001 Environment – the international standard for controlling and improving an organisation's environmental performance. This was the first step in changing the culture of our company. Through implementing best practice and continual improvement of our management systems, we are now actively able to tackle our targets, such as reducing our carbon footprint, minimising and managing waste and reducing water usage.
Going green involves more than just a declaration of intent; it means demonstrating results. We actively seek out and embrace innovative working practices, products and designs that further our sustainability goals and those of our clients. We operate an ethos of recycling and re-using wherever feasible, and constantly refine and update our waste management procedures and practices.
To ensure the impact of our operations on the environment are kept to an absolute minimum, we only use suppliers who are equally committed to our exacting sustainability standards. This includes using PEFC/FSC-approved timber suppliers, local supply chains and approved waste management and recycling services.
